HEALEY HONORS H.O. ZIMMAN WITH INNER CITY AWARD
Governor’s Inner City Investment Award Given to Lynn Publisher
LYNN – Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey today recognized the importance of business investment and job creation in the Commonwealth’s urban centers by honoring Josh Zimman, president of H.O. Zimman Publishing, with the Governor’s Inner City Investment Award.
Presented monthly, the Inner City Investment Award is given to individuals whose leadership and business success have brought new economic investment and jobs to the Bay State’s cities.
“For almost a century – in both good times and bad – the Zimman family has been making a significant contribution to the economy in Lynn,” said Healey. “Today H.O. Zimman is a multi-million dollar enterprise that was recently honored with the responsibility of creating one of the most prized publications in all of New England – the program for Super Bowl XXXVIII.”
The award, part of Romney’s “Jobs First” initiative, honors the dedication and hard work of men and women who contribute to the revitalization of the Commonwealth’s cities.
Romney also created the Governor’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award to recognize the innovation that drives the state’s economy.
For more than half a century, H.O. Zimman, a family-owned full-service publishing company, has been a leader in creating national sports, art, medical and catalog publications. Producing more than 500 publications each year, H.O. Zimman has published the program for the U.S. Open tennis tournament, the Fed Cup, the Davis Cup, and the Harvard University football team.
“The extraordinary staff here at H.O. Zimman has proven that the Commonwealth’s urban areas can become engines for economic success,” said Healey. “For that reason, I am pleased to present the Inner City Investment Award to the company’s president, Josh Zimman.”
“We are honored to receive this award. Lynn has been a wonderful home to H.O. Zimman for more than 50 years,” said Josh Zimman. “We expect to continue to grow and prosper in Lynn and Massachusetts.”
Since July, the Romney Administration has presented the Governor’s Inner City Investment Award to Traditional Breads of Lynn, Eastern Fisheries of New Bedford, City Fresh Foods of Dorchester, Court Square Data Group of Springfield, Visualization Technology of Lawrence, City Lights Electrical of Boston and Mill City Environmental Services of Lowell.
