ROMNEY NOMINATES JAMES J. TORNEY AS JUVENILE COURT JUSTICE
Governor Romney today nominated James J. Torney of Hanover to the position of Associate Justice of the Suffolk County Juvenile Court.
Torney has been a sole practitioner in Quincy and previously in Braintree since 1983, and served as legal counsel for the Massachusetts House Judiciary Committee from 1983 through 1988. Throughout his career, Torney has served as counsel before the Boston Juvenile Court on several cases.
Torney serves on the Board of Trustees for the Boys and Girls Club of Middlesex County where he formulates and executes budgetary and administrative policies.
Torney earned both his bachelor’s degree and law degree from Suffolk University.
