ROMNEY NOMINATES FIELDS AS W. MASS HOUSING COURT CLERK

 

 

Governor Mitt Romney today nominated Robert G. Fields of Northampton to the position of Clerk-Magistrate for the Western Housing Court.

 

Fields has been the Acting Clerk-Magistrate at the Western Housing Court in Springfield for the past year. Prior to assuming those responsibilities, he served as the court’s First Assistant Clerk-Magistrate. Before joining the court, Fields was a partner at Heisler, Fields & Feldman, PC. He was also an attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services from 1990 through 1996.

 

Fields is active in community service, having coached for the Northampton Recreation Department since 2000, participated in the Boston/New York AIDS Ride and volunteered for Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger.

 

Fields earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985 and his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 1990.
