History

I think I remember Governor Mitt Romney saying that John Adams and Eisenhower were two favorite presidents.

Do we have any history majors that support Governor Mitt Romney? Do they have anything they would like to contribute to this page?

Mitt Romney's father George Romney was an important historical person. He offered a more moderate direction for the country, but he was brought down, and George McGovern famously went on to become the Republican nominee, and the republicans lost terribly.

History Debate

  1. We were patient with Hitler, and let him take over half of Europe before we apposed him. Look where that got us. We should stop bad guys before they get too much power.
  2. Abraham Lincoln was one of, if not our best, president.
  3. We have very little free time to think, compared to our ancestors.
  4. We were patient with Hitler, and let him take over half of Europe before we apposed him. Look where that got us. We should stop bad guys before they get too much power.
  5. You can see the past more clearing than you can see the future.
  6. The repressed of one generation, often become the establishment of the next generation, and then they use the same methods of oppression that were used against them, to repress others. Also, once they are in power they often keep thinking that they are original, or unique for believing what they do, even though they get respect by the majority of people for their so called rebellious beliefs. They are able to justify, in their minds, their unfair tactics because they are still remembering when they were in the minority, and had a just cause against the majority. Now that they are in power, they think back to their just cause, and excuse unjust means in advancing their ideas, that are now accepted.
