"Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney called on voters in Clear Lake Saturday afternoon to keep the country from making a 'left turn' by electing a true conservative and not a Democrat as the next president.
"Romney spoke to a standing room only crowd at the Surfside 6 Lounge at the Surf Ballroom Saturday.
"Romney's son Josh, Josh's wife, Jen, and their three children are traveling with the former governor in the 'Mitt Mobile,' a Winnebago motorhome decorated with the campaign logo and scenes of Iowa as the campaign travels to all 99 counties in the state.
"'Washington is a mess. Washington can't get the job done. We are going to have to change to make sure that we can remain strong and lead the world.'
"Romney said Democrats believe the way to help people with their problems is through big government.
"'You don't build government. You build people.'"
