Boston, MA – Governor Mitt Romney today announced the 16 members of the Romney for President Oregon Statewide Finance Committee. The Committee will help Governor Romney raise the resources needed to campaign in Oregon and across the nation.
"I am proud to have the support of so many prominent Oregonians who have graciously offered to lend their talents and experience to my campaign," said Romney. "These leaders recognize that our nation faces a new generation of challenges that will require resolve and a rededication to the conservative principles that have made us strong."
Governor Romney campaigned in Oregon in 2006 while serving as Chairman of the Republican Governors Association. He will return to host a fundraiser in Portland this evening, March 14th.
Background On Oregon Statewide Finance Committee Co-Chairs:
Stephen Babson – Co-Chair: Babson is a partner at Endeavour Capital, a private equity firm headquartered in Lake Oswego.
Kevin Mannix – Co-Chair: Mannix is an attorney in the Salem area. In 2002, he narrowly lost to Ted Kulongoski in what was the closest Oregon gubernatorial election in 100 years. Mannix served as the Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party from 2003-2005.
Ron Saxton – Co-Chair: A native Oregonian, Saxton is an attorney at the Ater Wynne law firm in Portland. In 2006, he ran for Governor of Oregon against Ted Kulongoski.
Peter Stott – Co-Chair: Stott is the Vice Chairman and Principal of the Scanlan Kemper Bard Companies, a real estate merchant banking firm in Portland.
Charles J. "Butch" Swindells – Co-Chair: Swindells is the Vice Chairman of the US Trust Company and a former United States Ambassador to New Zealand.

Background On Secretary Todd Rokita:
Indiana Secretary Of State Todd Rokita Is Currently Serving His Second Term In Office. January 1, 2007 marked the beginning of Rokita's second term in office – a term dedicated to clearing a path for sustained economic growth and continuing work at state and national levels to strengthen our electoral process. Rokita has acted to streamline the government aspect of business development and to modernize Indiana's legal infrastructure to aid in capital formation.
Rokita was elected by his peers nationally to serve on the Executive Board of the federal Election Assistance Commission's Standards Board, and is president-elect of the National Association of Secretaries of State. Prior to taking office, he practiced law and later served as General Counsel to the Indiana Secretary of State. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar, the Knights of Columbus, and the National Rifle Association.

Boston, MA – Today, Romney for President announced Chairs in Sioux County and Cerro Gordo County. Orange City Councilman Mick Snieder will serve as Sioux County Chair. Mason City's Deb Hunt and Bart and Jody Pals were named Cerro Gordo County Co-Chairs.

Background On County Chairs:
Sioux County Chair Mick Snieder: A native of Sioux County, Snieder is a recent graduate of Northwestern College, and currently lives in Orange City with his wife, Crystal. He worked on State Sen. Steve King's first campaign for Congress and has participated in several other campaigns. In 2003, Snieder was elected to the Orange City Council.
Cerro Gordo County Co-Chairs Bart And Jody Pals: Having lived in Cerro Gordo County for 29 years, they are regular caucus attendees and have been active in the political process for the past 10 years. Jody is a member of the Cerro Gordo County Republican Women. Both are active leaders in the 4-H Club.
Cerro Gordo County Co-Chair Deb Hunt: Active in politics since moving to Mason City in 1980, she is the past Secretary of the Cerro Gordo County Central Committee, and currently serves as membership chair of the Cerro Gordo County Republican Women. She taught economics at North Iowa Area Community College for 13 years, and lives in Mason City with her husband, Dr. Sam Hunt, and has two grown sons, Ben and Bill.
