Reasons to agree

  1. Republicans have typically been the pro military power party.

 

 

Reasons to disagree

  1. There is no "conservative" position on the war on terror. True, today, in 2007 most republicans support the war on Terror. But that is because a republican is in the white house. When Clinton was in the white house, it was the republicans who were complaining about Clinton going to war in Serbia, and presidential candidate Bush saying that he was different from Gore, becaue he was not into "nation building". I suported Bush then and now. I'm just trying to say that there is no such thing as a conservative position on how the military should be used.
