I'm tired of people explaining Russia's desire to "defend" Moscow from the West

Maybe in the past, Russia wanted mountains between it and Moscow and the West to keep a second Napoleon or Germany from trying to drive tanks to Moscow. But stupid people keep making fancy videos explaining why Ukraine is strategic for Moscow's defense. Moscow can't brag about all their nuclear weapons and agree with Western pseudo-intellectuals explaining why they need Ukraine to feel safe. They fail to realize that you can't just drive tanks into a country with thousands of Nuclear weapons.

No one in the West wants to change borders anymore. Only people from the past want to make their country great by invading neighbors, thinking that you can make them love your bombing them in the world of information. You make your country great by doing great things inside your existing borders. You try to get intelligent, educated, hard-working people who want to move to your country.

America shouldn't view helping Ukrainian refugees as a charity.

America can benefit from a closer tie to Ukrainian refugees, citizens, government, and institutions.

Helping Ukrainians defend themselves is virtuous and in our long-term best interest.

  • Ukraine is doing the one thing that America needs the most help with: standing up to Putin.
    • Putin has been trying to weaken democracy and America for a long time.
    • Ukraine is resisting Putin's propaganda and is very good at winning the war of ideas with everyday Russians in a way that America cannot accomplish on its own.
      • Ukrainians understand Putin, Russia and can spread freedom, human rights, the rule of law, and democracy to Russians much better than the USA.
  1. Ukrainians can speak to the East, the West. 29.6% of Ukrainians, before the war, were native Russian-speaking.

  2. Ukrainians can display what Russia could become if it embraced the rule of law, human rights, democracy, stood up to their oligarchs and authoritarian thieves and would-be-czars.

  3. Ukraine can be a bridge between the East and those who respect individual and media freedom, the rule of law, freedom, and democracy.

Undecided;
