The Eskimo's had a good policy, were if an old person felt they weren't contributing any more to the tribe, they would just wander out into a snow storm.

People shouldn't be told what to do, or what is right to do. They should make up their own minds.

You should always choose life.

If we really thought the value of life was priceless, than that would mean that we would have to spend an infinite amount of money to keep everyone alive. This would (and is) bankrupting our economic system.

I used to think that I wanted to be kept alive as long as possible, as long as it didn't economically harm my family. I guess what this meant is that as long the government was paying for it, it is OK. But I shouldn't look at the government as free money, even in matters of life and death. Protest that turn violent are bad for America.

Compared to other countries our culture does not portray smart people in a good light. This is not good for our future.

The USA has a lot of natural resources and other assets

Rebelling against your parents is a natural way of asserting your independence.

You can't justify military action to prevent possible actions in the future, because it is impossible to predict the future.

We are justified in fighting radical Islam, as long as we do not cause more harm fighting it, than we prevent by defeating it.

More civilians should not die in military action meant to remove a dictator, than the number of lost lives from that dictator.

Revenge, retaliation, and other responses to aggression need to be proportional to the offence.

You should not do things, that cause more harm than good. You should do things that cause more good than harm.

A formula for going to war could be, that we have a right to remove a dictator, as long as we don't kill more innocent civilians in removing him, than he killed. Except all this looks at is life. It doesn't look at suffering, or value of life.

We need to have a formula for going to war.

Singapore uses public humiliation of criminals, which is cool.  

We should create a city where police are given free rein, without any regard to civil liberties.

A city could be allowed to outlaw liquor.

A city could be allowed to legalize marijuana.
