Governor Mitt Romney's father was a moderate.

Reasons to agree:

  1. He walked out of the Republican convention when Berry Goldwater gave his acceptance speech.
  2. Romney was a strong supporter of civil rights and was generally considered a moderate Republican, perhaps a bit to the right of Nelson Rockefeller, but well to the left of Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan (Wikipedia).

 

George Bush is a moderate.

Reasons to agree:

  1. George bush isn't for making the government as small as most republicans.
  2. George Bush has increased funding for education.
  3. George Bush has increased spending on health care.
  4. George Bush got along well with Texas democrats.
