advantages to a blog

Blogs are good.

Reasons to agree:

  1. They are quick.

Reasons to disagree:

  1. They can be repetitive.
  2. Blogs can be like junk food. Addicting, but not very nourishing. Usually they skim along the surface. A web audience has a short attention span. It is also difficult to read very long on line. Blogs are short, which is nice if you want to do one idea at a time, but if you want to develop a concept very deeply, each idea will need to be placed in context of a larger picture. In order to do this you need to organize your presentation by subject, were one idea leads to another, like in a book, or on a webpage. Blogs are organized chronologically, which is good for reporting on current events, but we need to dig deeper than just current events.
