Competition sets up a system of us against them.

Reasons to disagree:

1. In the case of the USA competing with Asia, America is not setting up a system of "us vs. them" by wanting to compete with Asia. They already want to compete with us. The Chinese communist party will take as much power as they can whatever it takes. The Chinese communist party wants to rule the world. If we choose not to compete with the Chinese communist party, we are choosing them as our masters.
