Fiscal Conservatism

"Borrow money from pessimists -- they don't expect it back." - Steven Wright

It is one thing to know how to cut back on spending, quite another to make the money you have work for you. Mitt Romney is a master of both fiscal skills.

As a businessman, he never met a company he couldnโ€™t turn around. As emergency CEO, he rescued the floundering 2002 Olympics and turned them into the most profitable Winter Games ever held. As governor of Massachusetts, he reversed a $3 billion deficit into a $1 billion surplus and found a way to provide healthcare for 500,000 previously uninsured people at the same time.
