Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney on January 28, 2006 in Washington, DC

Matinee Mitt: June 3, 2005

Romney vs. Allen: March 17, 2006

Governor Romney Calls for Data

Asks why business cases are not used for government decisions.

Criticizes politicians who run out and advocate policy before examining the data. Those who want to run out in-front of the camera, before they figure out what should be done.

Tells us that being a CEO is not a lot different than being in Government. People assume that business is not like government. That when you are a CEO you don't have politics, or PR, ... But Romney says everyone has bosses.

Discusses how he cut 3 high way departments to 2, and down to one soon. Went from 17 health and human service agencies down to 4. Have fewer state workers in Massachusetts than when he took office.
