Philosophy / Ends do not justify the means
Reasons to agree:
- If societies did not set laws to defend their citizens, more people would be raped, killed, stolen from, and harmed.
- The ends justify the means. If society doesn't want as many people being raped, killed, and stolen from, they should limit personal freedom, and prohibit these behaviors for the good of society.
